CNR logoCNR-IMM (National Research Council – Institute for Microelectronics and Microsystems)

The CNR – IMM Institute in Bologna is a multidisciplinary research structure, which has been working for more than thirty years (previously know as LAMEL) in the field of materials and devices for microelectronics, with a particular focus on silicon. The multidisciplinary nature is a peculiar characteristic of the Bologna branch: the contemporary presence of physicists, chemists and electronic engineers allows a global approach to the problems of materials and devices, thus overriding the schemes of traditional disciplinary areas. The specificity of this branch arises from the ability to cover the whole cultural area comprising material characterization, study of processes as well as design and realization of integrated devices. This activity has a relevant role within the different steps (system architecture, circuit design, technological realization, characterization) which contribute in defining the cultural context of microelectronics and microsystems.
The Bologna branch is equipped with a class 100 clean room facility for research and manufacturing in the field of microelectronics and microsystems. This environment allows strict control of contamination and permits to address high levels of reliability and reproducibility of technological processes, which are key prerequisites for successful fabrication of devices and prototypes. Particular focus is on the design and development of prototypes at high TRL of silicon-based micro-electro-mechanical-systems (MEMS) for sensors and actuators. The activities of CNR-IMM Bologna on chemical sensors include the development of MEMS gas-chromatographic devices, including FAST-GC columns, detectors and injectors, targeting specific applications and portable micro-total-analysis systems.

MEGA (expert in GC analytical columns production)

Mega manufactures Gas Chromatography Capillary Columns from over 30 years. His founder, Mario Galli, has more than 45 years of experience in Gas Chromatography technique, both in analytical and instrumentation fields. Today MEGA offers a wide range of products and GC Capillary Columns, the quality of which is guaranteed by testing each individual column using the Grob Test Mixture that confirms the high efficiency of the products. MEGA’s catalog includes GC-MS low bleeding columns, FAST and Ultra-FAST GC columns and solutions for Multidimensional and GCxGC Comprehensive techniques.

CPL LOGOCPL Concordia (Natural Gas distributor)

CPL means Cooperativa di Produzione Lavoro (Cooperative of Work Production). Since 1899, its mission is to generate real work: regulated, safe, making the most of the person and his or her characteristics. Work which gives dignity to who carries it out, which makes one grow in a professional capacity and in humanity. Work which becomes heritage for the land. Work carried out to the best of our abilities with reliability, consistency and professionality.
